Realize your nano vision
The Nordic Nanolab Network (NNN) is a collaboration between the Nordic nanofabrication infrastructures Myfab, Danchip, VTT Micronova and NorFab. This autumn the leaders of the involved laboratories met at Säröhus outside Gothenburg.
Per Delsing and his team want to combine theoretical calculations with experiments on superconducting circuits to gain an understanding of how things fit together at the nano level.
Lund put its best foot forward when 250 European nano researchers gathered at Myfab's fourth user meeting in April. Enthralling speakers such as entrepreneur Lennart Ramberg and Danish professor Peter Böggild took turns.
Materials Researchers at Linköping University, Uppsala University¸ and Chalmers University of Technology, in collaboration with researchers at the Swiss Light Source (SLS), the Paul Scherrer Institute, investigated high-temperature superconductor, YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO), using advanced X-ray spectroscopy.
Ivan Maximov and Nils Nordell have been appointed as Research Infrastructure Fellows by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF). As fellows they receive funding of 15 MSEK each for a period of five years for their projects.

The International SiC Power Electronics Applications Workshop, ISiCPEAW 2015 will be held in Stockholm, May 27-28. ISiCPEAW 2015 is a three-day event, consisting of two workshop days (May 27 - 28), preceded by one tutorial day (May 26). The event will cover the latest results and innovations in power electronics applications of silicon carbide technology.

Chalmers researchers Per Delsing and Dag Winkler have been awarded a grant of around SEK 85 million between them by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (KAW) for two separate projects within nanotechnology and neuroscience.

Mikael Östling, professor på institutionen för Integrerade komponenter och kretsar har fått Svenska Elektro- och Dataingenjörers Riksförening ingenjörspris, SER-Prize. Han har fått det för sin forskning som banat väg för energieffektiva effekttransistorer.
