About Myfab

Myfab – the Swedish research infrastructure for micro- and nanofabrication

Myfab provides state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities and expertise at four university cleanrooms. Founded in 2004, it supports advanced research and development across various scientific fields. Myfab offers over 750 processing and characterization tools, maintained by 80 expert staff. It serves 820 active users, including 120 companies, enabling them to transition from ideas to products. Myfab fosters innovation, multidisciplinary research, and contributes significantly to Sweden’s tech landscape.

Myfab enables Swedish research to remain at the forefront of international advancements, with a significant and growing portion involving multiple disciplines and integrating knowledge from various fields.

The main tasks of Myfab are

  • to provide adequate user support
  • to avoid duplication of expensive, resource-demanding equipment
  • to actively increase cross-utilisation among the laboratories
  • to bring funding and application of funding to a strategic level that will benefit Swedish research
