This week, experts from European cleanrooms are gathering in Bologna for the ENRIS 2025 conference, a biennial event focused on nanofabrication cleanroom operation, management, and user training. Organized by EuroNanoLab, this year’s conference is chaired by Myfab.

Micro- and nanofabrication cleanrooms are essential for producing high-precision components used in electronics and advanced technologies. ENRIS (European Symposium on Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure) is a key event for professionals and provides a platform for sharing knowledge and discuss best practices.

The conference is designed for researchers, engineers, cleanroom managers, and anyone involved in nanofabrication. It attracts participants from academia, industry, and research institutions across Europe.

This is the 4th edition of the ENRIS Conference jointly organized by It-fab, the Italian Network of Nano- and Microfabrication. The Conference is organized under the leadership of Stefano Zampolli (Chair of Local Organising Committee) and Thomas Swahn (Chair of Programme Committee).

Thomas Swahn, Director of Myfab:

“Our goal is to inspire a collaborative environment that accelerates technological advancements and supports the development of high-quality nanofabrication processes.”

Continuous development in cleanroom technology is crucial to meet the evolving demands of nanofabrication to get more efficient processes, reduced contamination risks, and better product qualityThis initiative supports the EU’s goals to enhance collaboration and technological development for greater self-reliance.

EuroNanoLab

ENRIS is founded by EuroNanoLab, a network of over 40 advanced nanofabrication centers across Europe. It aims to speed up research in micro- and nanotechnology by combining resources and expertise from different facilities. This helps create innovative solutions for challenges in energy, environment, health, and more. EuroNanoLab supports scientific excellence and provides fast access to research results, making it easier for researchers and industries to develop new technologies.
