Quantum research in action

The Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT) is a national initiative led by Chalmers, aiming to establish Sweden as a world leader in quantum technology. The centre focuses on developing a high-performance quantum computer and advancing quantum sensing, communication, and materials.

A significant part of the research takes place in Chalmers’ cleanroom facilities, where scientists fabricate and test quantum components under ultra-controlled conditions essential for quantum coherence and precision.
