Several researchers active within Myfab awarded associate senior lecturer grants

The Swedish Research Council (VR) has announced the results of the first call within the ‘Strategic recruitment of associate senior lecturers’ initiative, with several of the selected researchers active in fields that make use of Myfab’s cleanroom facilities.

The call is part of a government assignment to VR to establish a national programme for strategic recruitment, with a particular focus on the career development position of associate senior lecturer.

The initiative aims to strengthen higher education institutions’ ability to recruit outstanding early-career researchers and to create long-term conditions for research of the highest scientific quality.

In total, 22 researchers have been awarded funding in a highly competitive process, where scientific excellence, international experience and mobility were key criteria in the evaluation. Each researcher will receive funding for five years at associate senior lecturer level, with the possibility of further funding at senior lecturer level following evaluation.
